Hair Today,Gone Tommorow!

I just got a haircut. And I don't know whether to like it or loathe it. It was bangs on the front,and a barber's cut on the back.I hate the bangs part, but I like my back hair. Maybe I can convince my mom to get me a pixie cut. Anyways, let's start talking about my hair,not my new haircut.

When I was a kid, I had almost waist length hair. I never really knew how to manage it,but it always stayed smooth and shiny. I only combed my hair when needed,and the only hairstyles I know was a clip,a headband, and a ponytail. I always told my mom I wanted it shorter but my mom said it would be a waste.So my haircut was all bangs,layers,v-shaped,etc.But before the first day of school in grade 6, my mom gave my sister and I a haircut,both a bob. So my hair turned shoulder length.What I didn't know that was my hair grows fast.So in a month or two, my hair was halfway towards my waist.

After that,my older sister had a haircut,like the the one I wanted. My sister also has long hair,and it might be hard to let go.It was a pixie.Now, I was more determined to get that haircut more than ever. I bugged my mom even more to get me that cut.

Miracles do happen. Months of badgering,pleading,and begging finally paid off. Before Christmas Party and the exam,my mom took me to the barbers to transform my hair,pixie style.At exams,I wore a shirt with a hood,as not to surprise my classmates.But they were suspicious, coz they kept asking me"What happened to your hair?" In the end, I showed them.Yep,the reactions I got  were as expected.Many were shocked, many asked "Why did you cut your hair?", many kept saying it was a waste.My mom later had it cut again, now with side bangs and barber's cut hair.

Many people mistaken me for a boy,because I usually use a t-shirt and pants,some even accidentally called me "Boy"! My mom also tells me to make it long again. Many people can't imagine me with long hair.But I'm keeping it.And if anyone asks me why, it's easier to manage and I don't have to sport a ponytail all the time. And I love it.
